Introducing "Carpainter" E-mail
My name is Randy, and I was a student of gidders before it was the norm. I consider myself to be his best railbird and I have seen him win
quite a few SNGs at the $10 level. The guy is a machine! But enough about gidders. The next few minutes are dedicated to me!
I only play on PokerStars under the name "Carpainter". I've been forced to play the $5 SNGs due to my small bankroll, but have found success
by playing them. I have been playing poker for about 2 years now, but just recently started playing for "real money", and just recently
became "good". I have also been learning Seven Card Stud from "wuckboy" who is a professional at the game, as well as trying to teach myself
Stud Hi/Lo. Here is my story.

A few months ago, I was ecstatic. I had been dominating the Play Money tables for a year or so, and I was ready to enter the world of real
money. I wanted to deposit into PokerStars, but I didn't have the minimum. UltimateBet allowed my $25 entry, so I was ready to play there.
Thinking I would be stupid to play no limit, I sat down at a limit table and busted out in an hour. Talk about impatience! A few days later,
I tried again and had moderate success. I had started with $25, nearly qualified for the Super Sunday, building my roll to $75! I was so
pumped! I ran upstairs to tell my parents of my gain, and my dad had asked how much I had lost to win that amount. That comment put me on
tilt, and I busted out a few hours later. What hurt that time, was that I had spent two weeks slowing building the roll. I decided then and
there that I would not tilt off all my money again, and that I would NOT deposit until I felt I was ready.

Fast forward a month. I had $80 to deposit into PokerStars, and I was determined to build my bankroll. The first $5 SNG I played I won.
BEGINNER'S LUCK, BABY! But hey, I thought I was the man! Next day? Lost 3. Next day? Lost 4. I was down to about $50 and I was worried.
How could I be down $30 all of a sudden? I wanted to build this roll ... not slowly lose it all. Something had to be done.

Well, I read Adam's post about being supertight. Okay. Cool. I could do that. All right, we're five-handed, and I have K5 suited. One of
his raising hands. I'M ALLIN. Obviously, some things didn't work out. I saw gidders do his SNG Challenge and did something NONE OF YOU
SHOULD DO. If you're reading this, you might be a relatively new player. PLEASE HEAR ME OUT. You CANNOT just enter a bunch of SNGs and
expect to win. Study the videos, read posts on PocketFives, watch certain people play. Don't go blindly into SNGs like I did. I lost TT to
QQ, AK to AA and garbage like that. Other times? I just screwed up. I was down to $16. I went to bed depressed that night. gidders had
said he'd help me out, and I added him. Would he be online the next day? I hoped so. Someone had to save me. While lying in bed, I came to
the conclusion that I may not be meant to be a poker player. I decided I would ONLY play $1 sit and gos with 45 people. If I could win 1 out
of 10 or so, I could slowly build my roll. But still. If I could get gidders help ...

BAM. I was pumped. I sat down to play a $1, and gidders came online. We started talking, and I don't know if he knows it, but that sudden
confidence surge helped me win that $1 tournament and add another $14 to my roll. I decided I would do a mini-challenge of 30 SNGs. gidders
gave me some advice and I had a little luck in those first few tournaments. At one point, I won SEVEN STRAIGHT. That's something even
gidders hasn't done yet! Add a third to the beginning of that streak, and at the end, and I had a streak of 9 cashes. I got cocky, and lost
16 straight afterward. Regardless, I had my roll back. I had confidence, and I would be a "somewhat" winning player.

Since then, I have withdrawn my original $80 deposit, and I am only playing with profits. I am in the middle of my own November SNG challenge
right now with my buddy Frnak (who is promptly kicking my behind, but I WILL come back. Haha!) and I am doing well. I'm happy with my play
and I am constantly learning.

For all the people who might not be having success right away, don't fret. FRIENDS WILL HELP YOU. Search us out! Even SkinWalker had a
smallish bad run and I gave him some confidence or something. He's done the same to me, and we've both done it for Frnak. If you need help,
or need "cheering on", one of us will try and help/watch. Sometimes, if you're alone, things seem harder. With friends, anything is
possible.

Wow, that took some time. Anyway, I thank you all for reading this. I thank gidders for that initial surge of confidence and for helping me
meet SkinWalker who is one of the cooler poker people I get to talk to everyday. (Don't think this guy is just some old man you can push
around. That old man has some skills!) I also thank all my poker buddies and everyone who has helped me out in the past. Let us all never
stop learning!
